What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable the plugin.
2. Receive a message.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: The Taskbar status icon will change to an orange speech balloon, as
the Notification Tray icon does. It will remain until you read the message.
Observed: Nothing happens. If "Flash window when IMs are received" is enabled,
the Taskbar icon's background pulses and turns orange but turns clear again if
you focus on any window, even if it is not the message window.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.4, Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit.

Please provide any additional information below.
There could be an option for this feature, like everything else.

It could optionally blink between the "new message" icon and the user's status.
This would replicate the "Blink on New Message" option in the Notification
Tray menu. (Alternately, the base icon change instead of the status icon.
Perhaps the pigeon's speech balloon could change color from white to orange to
indicate a new message. I don't know if this is possible.)
