I'm trying to merge a docx file in windows, but a message appears: "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of the operating system you're running". Did anyone knows what is the cause?
I have no problems in windows 2008, 2012, windows 10...

I'm getting the same message on windows 10. Were you able to figure out what needs to be done to fix the issue?

Please contact me directly at alonblich@gmail.com.

I've deployed docxfactory to Windows 2016, Windows 10, UNIX, Linux and even VAX.

Hello, I'm having the same problem.
"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of the operating system you´re running. Check your computer´s system information to see whether you need an x86 or x64 version of the program."
I'm using windows Server 2016 Datacenter x64.

On windows 7, 10 and Server 2008 R2 Datacenter is working perfectly.

I'm getting the same message on Windows Server 2019 Standard, but working perfectly on Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB.
Did anyone knows how to fix the issue?

I'm getting the same message on Win10. It looks like there is an issue with a DLL and security to run it.
Running DF32v1218

Hello all,

I am terribly sorry to hear about all the inconveniences this old bug has caused! This is a very old and known bug that was fixed a long time ago.

I must update you that the DocxFactory project was acquired by Akioma Software. I also joined Akioma. The project has been relaunched as a commercial product named Akioma.Docs! -

https://akioma.de/en/products/docs!

The product is very much alive and a long list of bug fixes and new features were added since then.

I recommend contacting me directly at alon.blich@akioma.de so we can fix your problem ASAP!

Sorry again for your inconvenience!

honglong1987, I know it has been nearly three years but did you establish if the error was due to Windows Server 2019 Standard or the DocxFactory.dll as just installed a new Windows Server 2019 Standard setup and get the error message?

Thanks Alon, but I was a bit premature as everything is being shelved and we appear to not be proceeding with either Windows Server 2019 Standard or DocxFactory.

For future reference though, are there two versions of DocxFactory - the commercial one from Akioma and a free open source one? The reason I ask is it says "The project will be open sourced this year" here:
