As was discussed on the chat: standalone (non-jack) and wasm do not have any transport available, which makes Host Time non-functional.
It would be nice if there was either a special module or an extension of the Host Time module that would allow to set internal control over transport, so that any patches that use the Host Time module will still work in standalone and wasm environments.
In the case of the jack standalone it could also be nice if it could become transport master, however it's less critical here as we can at least have control over jack transport via other means.
