There are some inconsistencies in naming / labels of the types, e.g.:

https://api.crossref.org/works?rows=0&filter=type:proceedings-article&facet=type-name:* -> Conference Paper
http://api.crossref.org/types -> Proceedings Article

Would it be possible to update the endpoints to show the same label / name? As it is now it is rather confusing and it takes additional steps to find out what is what.

Thanks, we will look into these discrepancies. At first glance it seems obvious that they should be consistent, but I want to make sure this wasn't done for some deliberate reason before committing to anything. We found this commit that updated the mappings, but we don't have any documentation as to why that change was made, and the folks who worked on the REST API at the time aren't around anymore. I'll let you know if I come up with any more information.

Also, the REST API is still in code freeze as we migrate from Solr to Elasticsearch. Most of the development work for that is done and we're preparing to performance-test new infrastructure as well, but there is one higher priority project tying up resources at the moment. We're hoping to have this done in the next few months, after which we'll begin tackling the highest priority feature requests and bugs/problems like this one.
