I cannot install the libreoffice wrapper for coolprop on libreoffice 24.2 running PopOs 20.04. When I follow the instructions for coolprop 6.6.0 and download the files I do not see a coolprop.oxt file. I followed the instructions in the readme.rst in the wrapper>libreoffice folder for building the extension but when I run the command [make CoolPropLibreOfficeAddin] it says it cannot find idlc but the libreoffice sdk no longer comes packaged with the idl folder and idlc.
I gave up on building the .oxt for 6.6.0 and came across a pre-built .oxt for 6.4.1 from a previous install issue. I was able to add the extension, opening libreoffice, going into tools>options>coolprop, and installing the python packages produces a successful install message but still get errors in the test file.
I installed the python packages manually per the documentation with [sudo pip3 install coolprop==6.4.1] and it successfully downloaded Coolprop 6.4.1, but the test file still returned errors. I removed the 6.4.1 extension and opened up the test file and now there are no errors, but instead of the simplified functions it shows "=org.coolprop.wrappers.libreoffice.calcaddin.get_fluid_param_string("Water", "name")" which is a bit cumbersome to use

Issue Installing libreoffice wrapper for LibreOffice 24.2
May 2, 2024
I resolved this. I found that the latest nightly of coolprop had the .oxt file and I also found out that PopOS does not install LibreOffice in the same location using the popshop versus installing directly from the terminal. Thanks for all the documentation on this. A few more hours of digging and I realized it had nothing to do with coolprop at all.
