Subscribing to an event should let you know if you're already subscribed

Just noticed that putting in my email to be alerted when registration opens provides no feedback if I've already been subscribed, and actually adds my email address again (verified via admin).

Borderline bug/enhancement, but tagging as bug because I have a feeling it may end up sending multiple emails to the same person.
