I'd like to fork and extend the codebase (I'm happy to collaborate, too) to create an educational piece of content using Twilio SMS and Hookdeck to handle inbound webhooks and demonstrate live voting via SMS (and potentially email using SendGrid). My hope is that the content will be published on the Twilio blog (I'm in touch, but I haven't shared a specific idea yet).

However, without a license in the repo, the default applies:

without a license, the default copyright laws apply, meaning that you retain all rights to your source code and no one may reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from your work

From https://docs.github.com/en/repositories/managing-your-repositorys-settings-and-features/customizing-your-repository/licensing-a-repository

Would you be willing to add a license to allow others to build upon this codebase?

Great suggestion, I added it and also push the new migration file as well. You can start the project easily.

@Chensokheng - thanks very much!

The folks at Twilio like the idea, so I'm going to fork the repo and do a proof of concept (PoC) that adds:

  1. Phone number registration and verification
  2. SMS voting

Once the PoC has been done, I'll get an agreement for a tutorial outline with Twilio. I'll keep you updated on progress.

@leggetter Great! I am looking forward to that.
