Checklist

  • I'm reporting a problem with Chatterino
  • I've verified that I'm running the most recent nightly build or stable release
  • I've looked for my problem on the wiki
  • I've searched the issues and pull requests for similar looking reports

Describe your issue

If you close Chatterino on an external monitor and then open it separately on MacBook, an alert about the window borders appears because the chat took up more space on the external monitor.

No matter what I choose, in the window that appears after the alert, both the main menu and any context menu do not open (when I right-click in any part of the window). If you restart Chatterino after this, everything is fine again.

In addition to fixing the bug, I would like to ask you to add a checkbox so that my choice is remembered, and the alert does not interfere every time. I need the window to appear in the same part of the screen where I left it on the external monitor, so I always select "No". If you select “Yes”, a window of a random size will appear, which always needs to be moved and resized.

Could you create a separate feature request issue for this?

Good because I didn't want it implemented anyway 👍

Marking this as a macOS-specific bug for now until someone on Linux or Windows can reproduce it

The same issue with the "Show changes" dialog after installing 2.5.0 beta 1.

UPD: the same for 2.5.0.
