Write an abstract

At this time the abstract in the documentation is just gibberish text. I'd say an abstract would be a good idea, such that we can avoid an entire section of introductory text of what the document describes and its intended use inside the actual report.

I've placed the abstract field side-by-side with the table of contents and fitted it on the front page, so as to save a few rain forests.

This isn't a very important issue at this time.
