Looks like that error is actually coming from something like https://github.com/lukedanielson/wp-plugins_cmb-field-select2 or https://github.com/mustardBees/cmb-field-select2 which is separate from CMB2 core here. Hard to say which of those you're using, but whichever one should get the issue report.

This is likely coming from https://github.com/mustardBees/cmb-field-select2, which is abandoned. https://github.com/wpcodefactory/cmb-field-select2 has it fixed on their fork but I don't know if they will actively maintain it in the future. Best practice would be maybe to fork it yourself and change it there.
