E999 & flake8 error

I might have a similar question if I'm guessing correctly,
I installed flake8 but it doesnt seem to show up like how it should (as seen in some tutorial videos)

instead it shows E999 and some error inside the popup message

also, there should be a flake8 error message at the bottom that doesnt show up.

I'm guessing its not installed correctly?
I tried installing the package again, also using the cmd .... no luck
