Tab text is cut off when using the fat tab setting

I added "dplus_fat_tabs": true, to the sublime user settings.
The tabs are fat like they should be but, their text is getting cut off.

Without this flag, it looks like:

The text would have perfect placement if it were just a few pixels higher.
Other themes with the same or similar sized tabs and font do just fine.

I restarted sublime a few times to be sure.
I am using Windows 8.1

I'm not getting this problem on my mac, so I can't properly fix it until I get back to my Windows machine next week.
