IE11 issue : images not loaded, when the images not in the viewport

Expected Behavior

Image icon inside menu need to be loaded
Chrome Browser

Current Behavior

Image icon not loading inside menu
IE 11 browser

Possible Solution

Image not rendering due to slow DOM manipulation in IE.

Steps to Reproduce (for bugs)

1. click menu, inside the menu list of items in the submenu with image icons will be available
2. image icons are not loading
3. broken images will be visible

Context

In our application we have implemented in main navigation menu, the list of item in the submenu having image icons.The image icons are not loading. onclick of list item there is multiple levels of submenu with sliding transition we have used image icon there as well, that images are not get loading.
NOTE: it works fine in chrome, firefox, edge browser, except IE 11

Tested on:

• Browser Name and version: IE 11 & v11.1039.17763.0
• Operating System and version (desktop or mobile): windows 10 & desktop
