Could this be a problem with home assistant as the devices always work
through eWeLink and with switches through nodered. In HA, they are set to
auto, I don’t have anything in diy mode. Any advice?

cloud_auth don't work for you. I don't know why. One of your devices is
having local encryption problems.
Maybe it's running in DIY mode and the integration thinks there is
encryption.
Or a bug in the firmware of some device.
Only you locally can find the problem.

I am familiar with programming just unsure what you were asking me to do.

Add logging to the place I specified |
Could you give me an example. I don’t want to do anything to mess up the
current code.

I am getting this error in my debug. Not sure if it is related or not but I often get these devices not updating with correct state in HA.
