Video playback on youtube 720p only

The past few days videos on youtube are only available in 720p.
Now, I use an ad extension called "Enhancer For Youtube" to control volume, playback settings and some aesthetics and I found if I turn it off youtube goes back to normal.
I then opened Brave Browser(I recently came to Thorium from Brave 4-5 weeks ago) and Youtube works perfectly fine as does Chrome with the same extension on.
