What feature I mean ? :
Options => Playback => checkmark Default Track preference => Subtitles

Explanation :
You use your own render, MPC-HC use LAVFilters, LAVFilters have at least some old documentention how to use subtitles autopicker in readme file.

Issue:
I have video where there is:

  1. track Language: Japanese , title: null
  2. track Language: Japanese , title: SDH
  3. track Language: English , title: null
  4. track Language: English , title: SDH
    to 26. subtitle tracks

with LAVFilters " eng@SDH " it does pick the English SDH, in MPC-BE when I have "SDH" it pick the first SDH, when I deleted "SDH" and only kept "eng@SDH" it did load the default subtitle track (which was French)

So what is the Syntax ? There should clickable text "readme" next to that one "(Example: eng jan swe)" (you have there typo: official is jpn not jap) , and open the Readme.txt in the MPC-BE folder where you would explain the syntax

When people use autopicker, they care about 2 things which Language and Title(as it is named in MediaInfo)
I did write some advanced explanation in LAVFilter issue
Nevcairiel/LAVFilters#541

TLDR/Minimal effort:
If there is a option to pick Language+Title, write it readme file please

First of all, we don't owe you anything.
If there is no documentation, then no one wrote it. It is obvious.

just... biggest facepalm ever, I don't even...

Edit: after 15min(this reponse will probably stun me for a hour) I am still over 91000 flabbergasted how extremly stupid is that comment, so there is a documentention, which you could just copy paste into google translate and then copy paste into readme.txt file, and yet you just write this....

So write it in English and put into Readme file at least ? How is anyone supposed to find this if it is only in one language? On phorum I/most people didn't know it exist.
You know what... why don't you at least copy paste that Russian documentention into readme.txt file, for f**k sake ...

Google translate is pretty ok too :

Setting the priority of audio tracks and subtitles

Separators - ,; and space.
Logical and - + (plus).
Negation - !(exclamation point).

[fc] - short for forced.
[def] - shorthand for default.

You can also specify whole phrases / expressions by taking them in "(quotes)

Examples:
rus eng ger - a track with rus or eng or ger in its name will be selected
rus+vlad - will be selected if both rus and vlad are present.
rus+!vlad - rus will be selected but only if there is no vlad
"Voice acting from NTV +" - will be selected if there is Voice acting from NTV +

If nothing is found and there was no mention of default/forced in the list, then default or forced will be selected.

Starting from version 1.6.6.102, the ability to not display subtitles has been added - for this, you need to add [off] to "Track Priority -> Subtitles".
In this case, if more than one match among the subtitles is not found, then no subtitles will be displayed after opening.

Your request looks like a demand.
This will not be in Readme.md. This file is not a user manual.

This may be added to the Wiki in the future. Maybe tomorrow, maybe next month, maybe next year, maybe never. That's the beauty of free development. I can't say the same to my boss.

What about change the "(Example: eng jan swe)" in "Options => Playback"
Into something " More info about syntax : RUS ENG "
