Netherite sliver should be lava proof

Quick description
When I grow netherite in the nether and collect the netherite sliver, they are not fireproof and so if they "pop" in the opposite direction of the player they burn before they get collected.

Steps to replicate the issue

1. Plant nethereed crops in lava
2. Make them grow
3. Stay on the side of the block and collect them ; some of the netherite sliver will get in the inventory and some will burn.

Expectations and explanations
I don't think this is a bug but more of a missing feature. Since nethereed needs to be lavalogged to grow, and netherite is already a lavaproof item, I would expect the netherite sliver to also be lavaproof.
