Currently this is put at a lower priority, where getting the overall QubesTV concept off the ground first in a decent working condition is a higher goal.

Long-term goal is to find a way to avoid installing QubesTV in dom0, looking towards future Qubes versions for such capability.

Eventually the QubesTV should be made easy to install for anyone. This is a rough sketch, and includes;

  • Moving scripts into dom0 made easy (but must be done securely, hash/GPG check, etc.).
  • Installing dom0 dependencies sudo qubes-dom0-update pulseaudio-utils -y
  • Opt-in warning zenity about creating a QubesTV demonstration qvm-create template/AppVM.
  • Automatic Installing required repositories and codec's in template in QubesTV template/AppVM.
  • Start a demonstration, allowing user to opt-out rather than automatic playing the video file.
