I didn't seem to see nor was able to search for a "Curvature" value in the documentation as of yet.
I found in this GL example...
http://madebyevan.com/shaders/curvature/
they call an extension GL_OES_standard_derivatives function's dFdx and dFdy for rate of change to get a curvature.
It might be pertinent to include that value with a raytrace result even.
I noticed for Blender they say "trace" exists. https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/render/shader_nodes/osl.html
Anyway I guess I am asking if this has been fully addressed at all or in a more functional and compatible way in OSL?
It might be this is possible already and so maybe the documentation needs to be clearer or there could be a working example?
