Omni-Crypt is not fake. Omni-Crypt is the replacement for Tri-Crypt. Tri-Crypt was pulled from Google Play due to a cease and desist from Facebook (owners of WhatsApp). It has been relaunched as Omni-Crypt with a few changes, which are; WhatsApp has been removed from the title and the logo is no longer similar to WhatsApp. If you have an old Tri-Crypt Pro key installed then it will be recognized by Omni-Crypt so you do not need to purchase another key.
Thank you for your reply. I am aware of the problems with Google Play and the naming. I was just wondering, because it is not mentioned anywhere on this project page, that also links to the old play store entry com.tricrypt ...
Maybe it would be a good idea to make people aware of these changes.
Since Tri-Crypt is not on Google Play anymore, omnicrypt is a fake, no? I just washed to ask before I report something wrong to Google...
