I patched WhatsApp-Key-DB-Extractor to work on Mac in August 2014, and could confirm that it worked then. Now I've changed cell phone and can't test the code anymore. Someone fluent in Mac/Linux bash scripting should take a look!

tried it on ubuntu 14.10, exactly the same error. it seems that the python/tar command is not outputting anything. dd still outputting something
