ftw.contentstats in Plone 5.2

I tried to install ftw.contentstats in a Plone 5.2 site. The content-stats view only worked after disabling the disk usage statistics. Also, the view only showed the tables instead of the nice charts. The JS console gives me the following:

Uncaught ReferenceError: $ is not defined
    at content-stats.js:73
(anonymous) @ content-stats.js:73

I suppose that the package has yet to be updated for Plone 5.2?
