Hi, @3BioCompBio

Very interesting tool to analyze viral fitness at the population level.
Is it possible that this tool used with other viruses?

Best,
Yang

Hi Yang,

Thank you for your interest in SpikePro. This method is dedicated to the study of SARS-CoV-2 even if an analogous pipeline can in principle be constructred for any viruses if the protein structural information are available. Do you have in mind some specific virus?

Best,
Fabrizio

Hi, @3BioCompBio Fabrizio,

Thanks for your reply.
I am interested in the avian influenza virus (e.g. H5, H7). I think many protein structures relative to HA of these subtypes may available in the PDB database. So, any idea to make the pipeline come true?

Best wishes,
Yang

Hi Yang,

if there are structures then yes, the construction of the pipeline is not so different from SARS-CoV-2 one and we could try to set up it even if at the moment we are a bit busy. We can try to have a more close look to it next month if it is not too urgent. Send me your email at fabriziopucci81 at gmail.com I will keep u update.

Ciao,
Fabrizio
