Merge work github account contributions into my personal github account

Hi, I didn't find any clear answer anywhere so I will try my luck here..
I'm writing from my personal GitHub account, while in my day-to-day this account is not really active since I have another account that is related to my work.
Is there any simple way to merge my work account contributions into my personal account?

Hi, orassayag.
These are the steps that i would try to folllow . As far as i know, this should work if you don't have any conflicts.

• From your personal github account, fork the repository that you want to merge.

• Clone the forked repository to your local machine ( from personal git ).

• Add a remote for your work account's repository.

    _git remote add work https://github.com/workusername/repositoryName.git_ ( Assuming "work" is the name you're assigning to the remote   repository. It's a label that you'll use to refer to this repository in other Git commands. )
  

• Fetch the commits from your work repository. [ git fetch work ]

• Merge the branches from your work repository into your personal repository. [ git merge work/main ] ( Assuming that you are trying to merge the main branch ]

• While merging, you can encounter merge conflicts, try resolving them manually.

• If everything works fine, push the changes to your personal github repository.

@NusRAT-LiA Thanks for the reply, you can assume that my personal and work projects are different, and I don't want to merge between them. I simply want to view in my personal account my work's contribution

This merge that I'm talking about is not merging between your personal and work project. It is about forking your work project from your personal project and then merging, so that it becomes your own project ( from personal account ). This will have to effect on your work project and you won't be able to merge any changes from your personal account to work account. The changes are within the fork.

@NusRAT-LiA This is OK, but it's not what I meant. I want to see my contribution of my work account in my personal account.
