Sample (which sample are you having trouble with)

Samples of updating a multi-selectable Person column with setValue.

Example:

What Actually Happens

When attempting to update a multiple selectable person column using setValue, an error is displayed if the field to be updated contains a deleted user. It is not possible to update it.

I created the following issue and reported the phenomenon to Microsoft.
SharePoint/sp-dev-docs#9670
