  1. Finalize the protocol for VNC OPUS audio, probably simplify it
  2. Make a reference implementation in the TigerVNC client.
  3. Add support for this to PiKVM VNC server

Has there been any updates on this? I am interested (in terms of inbound audio in general, not necessarily via VNC - WebRTC would be fine if easier to do) and am willing to sponsor the work (feel free to email hi@rjevski.io with a quote).

I am not working on this right now, and in fact it will take several months as it is necessary to follow all the formalities. We will do it, but probably not this year - there are too many other tasks. Or closer to winter.

Purchased a unit when I read it supported audio and now realize it doesn't work in VNC. Tried using the web version but the lag makes it too difficult to use the mouse. Please reconsider! :)
