I want to limit the unlimited access of youtube and netflix for my kids.

This app will be able to define channels based upon directories in local usb or network drives and based on the current time, play contents and appear to be showing live channels, where one can use remote to switch channels and is not able to rewind the contents.

App settings can be accessed or instead a text config file system in the usb drive can also be used.

It seems like you basically just need a watch timer, unless the issue is needing to support a pause functionality? I thought youtube already had something like this.
