Persistent data volumes…? #504

If you've binded them in your compose file, then they should be persisent. I have seen recommendations not to use Watchtower to actually update your containers as sometimes problems may happen. I use Diun and Watchtower, Diun reports via Gotify and watchtower reports via email. I then update manually and so far not really had any problems. But your mileage may vary though. |

So left side is on your pc, right side is in the container. So in the above, if you go to /appdata/diun on your pc, it will contain files that are from the container, for me this line is for the config files that diun needs or produces. So make sure you know where your files are to be saved, whether config files or media files for example. If that doesn't make sense I can try and explain again |

It's always a good to have your containers upgraded automatically, because a new release might introduce a bug that breaks things for you. Better to have watchtower (or diun etc) send you an alert that a new version is out, so you can manually update and watch what happens. |

Are the default volume folders made while first creating and deploying the new container through dockge persistent? I've had issues with portainer losing my data when watchtower updates some of my containers.
