Likely a different hardware revision to the AT-D878UV running the same firmware (?). If so not much needs to be done:

Get wireshark capture of codeplug read, write and call-sign DB write to verify memory addresses.
Verify codeplug encoding of channels
Verify codeplug encoding of contact
Verify codeplug encoding of group lists
Verify codeplug encoding of zones
Verify codeplug encoding of scan lists
Verify codeplug encoding of positioning systems
Verify codeplug encoding of roaming
Verify codeplug encoding of settings
