Is the metrics_callback absolutely required to publish custom non-cowboy related metrics via http/https?
I tried different approaches, but unless I specify the metrics_callback no other metrics will get exported to the provided cowboy route, though they do get created and updated and can be inspected with prometheus_text_format:format/0.

It shouldn't be necessary.

What if I don't need cowboy metrics in the metrics? This is for lorawan-server project.
