Celery worker freeze and not executing the received tasks from redis queue

Message Broker - Redis,
worker cmd --> celery -A proj worker -l error -Q queue_name --autoscale=12,1 -n %(host_node_name)s_%(program_name)s_%(process_num)s

In above worker command, I am using autoscale attribute to threads responsible for growing and shrinking the pool. i can't see any tasks waiting in queue seems the celery worker takes all tasks from redis queue.

if i inspect the worker with 'active' command it will show currently processing the 12 tasks that same 12 tasks showing as active after 2 (or) 4 hours. i suspect the worker has freeze and could not finish the current active tasks.

1. is it possible to see the counts of received tasks from queue ?
2. the possible reasons for the worker has freeze and could not complete the active task?

please help to resolve above issue, thanks in advance !!
