An entire WSL official bucket dedicated for all linux distros for WSL available to install via scoop
Having all the distros available like

  • wsl-ubuntu
  • wsl-nixos
  • wsl-kali
  • wsl-alpine

Describe alternatives you've considered

Alternatively would just use docker
