It would be great to natively use PySAM's battery model. It should include all of the same features as our model, plus more. A few things to verify that it can do:

  • Run single timesteps
  • Capacity degradation (while running single timesteps)
  • Thermal modeling with exogenous ambient temp
  • Resetting to previous state
  • Prediction of next SOC, efficiency, and remaining energy (could run and reset to do prediction)
  • (optional) SOC setpoint instead of power setpoint
  • (optional) Generator or Fuel Cell models??

Once we implement, it'd be great to remove equipment.parameters too.
