Roadmap

Inspire future generations by providing the most exciting and diverse speakers for your conference

The STEMM Role Models database allows you to access a searchable list of researchers who can speak about their work at your conference. It contains keywords and provides contact information, links to publications, blogs, social media profiles, links to youtube clips of previous presentations, and testimonials. Everyone in the database is identified as one or more of a selection of different under-represented groups in STEMM. The goal is to ensure that conference organisers are able to access a diverse and representative group of the most exciting researchers in their field around the world.

What do we need to do?

This issue is our roadmap. It's a place to start to investigate the myriad of issues that you can contribute to. Check out the different milestones listed below, but feel free to explore the issues by label too.

Please check out our contribution guidelines and code of conduct to help you get started, and the README for an overview if you haven't read it yet!

Milestone: Feedback from soft launch

Now that we've opened the website up to the world (somewhat quietly) we need to take on feedback and bugs reports.

These are the issues that have come up as a result of the launch. There probably will be more to come!

Milestone: Ada Lovelace Day Sprint

Lets make a working website by the Mozilla community call on October 13th! GO GO GO!

These are the issues that need to be resolved by then. There may be more to come though!

Milestone: Words on the page

Websites need words on them! We have a few different pages but they need content.

This milestone will be complete when all the different pages contain the words they're supposed to

Milestone: Cambridge Sprint

We want to hold a day sprint in Cambridge (UK) to introduce people to the app and solicit ideas across all aspects of development.

Currently there is just one catch-all issue (#18) asking for comments and suggestions, but we'll make a few more as planning ramps up!

Milestone: Ongoing issues

Although we've given this a milestone label, these are really just issues that will just always be on going so you can contribute at any time.
