I'm on Ubuntu 24 LTS with Python 3.12. I used conda to setup a python3.10 environment and referenced it in webui-user.sh to get it working. |

webui-user.sh doesn't seem to have any effect. I got around the Python 3.10.6 required error by using conda to create a 3.10.6 env, which was great, but now I've gotten a new error "version `GLIBCXX_3.4.30' not found (required by /usr/lib/libtcmalloc_minimal.so.4)" So i have been installing every library that could possibly be related to that file within the active 3.10.6 venv such as: libgcc and still can't find GLIBCXX_3.4.30 edit: while in python 3.10.6 venv, I tried 'pip install -r requirements.txt' and it's installed a bunch of things, probably a lot of duplicates of what's already installed in the stable-diffusion-webui folder. didn't feel so good about doing that. tried running webui.sh again, and, same error. so I renamed my old a1111 folder, used the git command and started trying to install that way, got torch related errors. also, despite my running the webui.sh script within a python 3.10.6 venv, a1111 was still looking at my system's base python version. So I renamed that git clone folder, downloaded the zip and got the GLIBXX error, and not the python error so the git clone version is ignoring my venv, but the zipped version is respecting my venv. |

Can someone give me a step-by-step guide on how to install on linux? I attempted to install following the instructions on the readme, but I get errors. I thought it would be as simple as cloning the repo and running webui.sh.
I noticed it complains about python version so I just created a conda env with just python 3.10.6 and pip installed. Then I activated the venv, ran webui.sh and got a different error. Then I tried to just run "python launch.py" and it looked like it worked but it's ignoring the commandline flags I specified in webui-user.sh. It shouldn't be this hard. What am I doing wrong?
