Projects not sending invite notifications or showing in Projects tab #55148

There could be several reasons why the invited user is not receiving notifications or having the project appear on their profile. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try: 1- Check the user's notification settings: The invited user may have turned off email or web notifications from GitHub. Ask them to check their notification settings and ensure that they are set up to receive notifications for the types of events they want to be notified about. 2- Confirm the user's email address: Make sure that the email address associated with the user's GitHub account is correct and that it is not being filtered or blocked by their email provider. 3- Verify the invitation was sent: Double-check that you sent the invitation to the correct username or email address and that it was not accidentally sent to the wrong person. 4- Check the user's GitHub account status: If the user's account has been flagged or suspended by GitHub for any reason, they may not be able to receive notifications or access certain features. If none of these steps resolve the issue, you can try reaching out to GitHub support for further assistance. |

I have the same issue. That also comes with not being able to mention invited user in the comment and/or assign tasks to them - probably because they didn't accept the invitation. Me and my co-worker tested it both ways, i created a project and invited him but also he created one and invited me and none of us received any sort of invitation notification. |

I am also facing the exact same issue -- "When I invite someone to a project they do not get a notification and theres no way to tell the have access to the project other than manually navigating to the project on another user's profile". However, I am able to assign tasks to the invited members. |

Same issue here. New user joined GitHub recently and receives no notification when I add them, regardless of access granted. None of the solutions suggested apply. |

For me, I tried to add the user to the project (a user outside the organization) and not found when i put the email on the input field. The button Invite doesn't do anything. |

Same issue, this is quite embarrassing for GitHub that such a simple notification feature is not working. I have added 4 collaborators with Role:Write to the Project and no one has received any notifications. |

I was experiencing this issue and eventually found a fix for it by changing my user name. Also I made sure to remove any alternative email addresses linked to the account. Make sure the one you are currently using is set as the 'primary' one with notifications enabled on it. After doing the above I was able to receive the invite via email. |

I'm having this issue, I don't get a notification when invited to a repository. This must be a relatively recent issue because I was invited to a repository without issues last year (by the same person) |

Body
When I invite someone to a project they do not get a notification and theres no way to tell the have access to the project other than manually navigating to the project on another user's profile. Have tried with either user being the project creator.
Expected behaviour:
When a user is invited to a project they should be notified.
It should also display on their profile under the projects tab
Further info:
Both accounts are personal accounts
