Receiving "Github ssl key The private key is not a valid key or has a passphrase" on uploading certs to github server.

I have created a github server on AWS ec2 instance. When uploading the certs via portal I get "Github ssl key The private key is not a valid key or has a passphrase"

I have verified the cert and key and its valid.

The key format is ASCII text PEM format and the type is ECDSA.
Is this something to do with the ECDSA type ? Is ECDSA supported ?

ECDSA keys are supported by Github for SSH connections.
The error message likely indicates an issue with your private key itself:

1. Double-check format: Ensure the private key is in valid PEM format with proper headers and footers (-----BEGIN EC PRIVATE KEY----- and -----END EC PRIVATE KEY-----).
2. Remove passphrase: If your key has a passphrase, Github won't accept it during upload. Make sure you're uploading the key without the passphrase.
3. Verify key content: While you verified the cert, double-check there are no typos or extra characters in the private key content itself.
