[feature request] option to change thickness of the event icon/have its thickness be affected by the "compact layout" option (make it thin when activated)

Currently it's a very thick bar and isn't affected (not made thinner) when the "compact layout" option is activated, if it could be made very thin by that or have its own option to change thickness (e.g. thick/medium/thin options) that'd be quite nice
