I think the probable root cause is related to an issue in HAOS 12.3: home-assistant/operating-system#3362

I have downgraded my installation to HAOS 12.0 (for good measure: I did not try 12.2 or 12.1). Now, RFXTRX is stable. It also fixed similar issues with my Zwave controller, which caused random crashes without a trace in the HA Core debug logs.

I had problems with RFXtrx after installing HAOS 12.3 on RPi 4
I downgraded to 12.0. and the problem is over.
Which extra information is needed for the code-owners to reproduce and solve the problem?
